Thank you very much for being part of this project, and we appreciate that it has not been easy for some of our participants to get their work to us in time for exhibition, with significant transport delays within and between countries at present.
The official launch will be preceded by a public talk presented by Henri Van Noordenburg, curator at Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, at 5.15pm local time. The launch and announcement of the awards as selected by our three judges will commence 6pm. Live music by Jeremiah Johnson follows the official part of the evening, with canapes served and cash bar open.
We expect that a large audience of domestic tourists, as well as local audiences, will see the exhibition. Tanks Arts Centre, Cairns is open 7 days per week and the exhibition continues to 25 July.
